Galicia will host the sixth edition of UNVEX, aimed at autonomous systems for public services, and Santiago de Compostela has been chosen by the Organization to host the largest drone event in Spain.

The attractiveness of Santiago de Compostela as the headquarters of UNVEX 2020 is evident. A city declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO for its great monumental beauty that culminates with the emblematic Obradoiro Square and the Cathedral, destination for pilgrims following the famous Jacobean route. Used to hosting millions of tourists throughout the year, the gastronomic, cultural and hotel offer is of the first order.

Santiago’s airport, located in Lavacolla, 10 km from the city, operates international flights with the main national and international airlines. It is connected with the city through a regular line of buses, taxis and offers the possibility of renting vehicles.

UNVEX 2020 will open its gates in the spectacular building of Ciudade de la Cultura, with a hight of almost 43 metres. A major cultural centre dedicated to knowledge and creativity. The centre, less than 15 minutos from downtown Santiago and from the airport, has car parking and a bus stop.

Air demonstrations will take place at the Rozas aerodrome, in Lugo, which has become a technological hub for aerospace innovation, located just over an hour from Santiago de Compostela, in the Concello de Castro Rei.

The organization will make sure to provide buses for users to travel to the aerodrome.
